WHY:
The Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted a proactive
investigation, Operation Spring Cleaning, during the weeks of April 6, 2025 through April 19,
2025. The operation was executed throughout five counties in Southern California, which
involved 108 affiliate law enforcement agencies. The purpose of the news conference is to
highlight the 265 arrests made during Operation Spring Cleaning and to provide educational
Internet safety resources for the community.
