Los Angeles Police Department Los Angeles City Fire Department Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department
WHY:
First responders face one another in the boxing ring to help fundraise for the first responders who were affected during the Eaton fires.
Law enforcement and firefighting agencies come together to lace up their boxing gloves and put on a fun and entertaining boxing show. The first responders are determined to shine in the boxing ring while helping to fundraise for the William H. Parker Los Angeles Police Foundation to assist the first responders who were impacted in the Eaton Canyon fires. The Los Angeles Police Boxing team has been in existence since 1869 and when boxing team members learned of first responders losing their homes, the LAPD Boxing team coordinated with LASD and LAFD teams to coordinate the “2025 Night of Heroes”.
The competing first responders are committed to showing the audience that police and fire fighting personnel are willing to go toe-to-toe against one another to help fundraise.
The William H. Parker Los Angeles Police Foundation was established in 1966 as a memorial to the late Chief William H. Parker. Chief Parker professionalized the Los Angeles Police Department and provided leadership as Chief of Police for 16 years.
