"A Sexual Assault Suspect is Being Sought"

North Hills – Detectives assigned to the Robbery-Homicide Division, Rape Special Section are currently investigating a Hot Prowl/Sexual Assault that occurred on May 14, 2000, in the North Hills Area of Los Angeles (the victim’s name and address is being withheld pursuant to Section 6254 of the Government Code). The victim is an 18-year-old female, who resides at home with her parents and siblings. At approximately 10:00 p.m. while the victim was home with two other family members, the suspect entered the residence through an open window. After locating the victim alone within a room of the residence, the suspect sexually assaulted her. The perpetrator is described as a male, unknown descent, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 170 pounds, approximately 20-25 years of age. The suspect was last seen wearing dark clothing and a dark colored mask.
