Residential Burglary Suspects Caught on Surveillance Video NR17004lp

January 3, 2017

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department’s Van Nuys Division Burglary detectives are
seeking the public’s assistance in identifying burglary
suspects.

On Friday, December 30, 2016 around 8:35 p.m. Van Nuys officers
responded to the 4200 block of Levitt Lane in the City of Los
Angeles for a burglary radio call. When the officers arrived they
found that the suspects had smashed a glass pane on a rear door and
reached in to unlock the door. The suspects went through the house
and stole handguns, currency, small electronics, and jewelry. The
suspects used one of the victim’s pillow cases to carry the stolen
property. The suspects fled through the rear door and met up with a
third suspect that was waiting in a dark colored Sports Utility
Vehicle.

Surveillance video cameras captured both suspects walking up the
driveway. Video footage also shows the suspects inside the
residence.

The first suspect is described as a male Black or Hispanic, between
20 and 25-years-old. He is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and
weighs approximately 165 pounds with a short beard and mustache. He
was captured on video wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt,
light colored pants, dark tennis shoes with white stripes and dark
colored gloves with reflective tape on them.

The second suspect is described as a male Black or Hispanic,
between 20 and 25-years-old. He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches
tall and weighs approximately 165 pounds, has dark hair and a short
mustache and beard. He was captured on video wearing a light
colored hooded sweat shirt, light colored pants, dark colored
shoes, and black gloves.

There is no description for the third suspect, the driver of the
suspect vehicle.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer dark colored possible
BMW or Lexus 4 door style SUV with tinted windows.

Detectives believe that these suspects have been involved in
several other residential burglaries in the area over the past
several weeks.

Nuys Burglary Detective Diamond at (818) 374-0029 or Detective
